Sunflower in the snow
In my journalistic career I've learned to tackle any subject in 800 words. My essays tell a crisp, inspirational story and as an opinion columnist for the Los Angeles Times, Hartford Courant, and South Florida Sun-Sentinel, I mastered a witty and self-deprecating prose.

The sunflower story
About me
I have been a journalist for 50 years, mostly as a columnist on the opinion pages of the Los Angeles Times, Hartford Courant, South Florida Sun-Sentinel, B'nai B'rith Messenger (a California Jewish newspaper), Connecticut Jewish Ledger, and more.

My essay I remembered its smell is taught in freshman English college courses as one of the Best English Narrative Essays. My short stories appeared in Hadassah Magazine, Northeast, Midstream, and more.

Many people have said I am witty—even funny. You must take my word for it; or read Politically Incorrect Bible Stories: Is Sex Good for the Jews?

I am currently writing a mystery. It's thrilling, but who done it—and how—is still a mystery to me. Mayhem is soothing.
